I enjoyed these comments Vince. A revelation recently for me is to know what’s in the foods I eat. Some fruits are better for me than others because some are less packed with their own sugars than others. Same for carbs. Even vegetable carbs. I prefer eating fruits that are what I call “lean” in natural sugars and cards that are “lean” in carbs.

You can lose muscle mass if your daily caloric DEFICIT continually runs larger then about 500. Alarm bells start to sound once your caloric deficit starts running as big as 600, 800, 1000 and beyond. What hes says about weight training is true but cardio if done properly is better. If you want to lose weight fast than burn off more calories than you take in(helps if you don’t eat too many) since once your bodies run out of calores to burn your body will start to break down fat for energy. Only once your body has no more fat will it startto break down lean muscle for energy, so don’t worry about losing muscle mass!

Hmmm,..tough question. He’s RIGHT on a lot of things. I know fruit on an empty stomach is not the best idea. Sugars from dairy? Not sure there. Dairy has lots of sodium which will blur cuts..that’s for sure. Glad he ran that list at the beginning of stuff that will not get you lean,…boy is he right there. He’s right that veggies are proabably better then fruit. But sugars..and insulin? I got pretty lean just concentrating on calories in calories out without worry about fruit/dairy sugar.
